Need a venue?
Our gorgeous property on the Cabot Trail is at your disposal. We have a washroom, a private change room for the bride, and cabin accommodation for the happy couple.
Don’t panic!
You’ve got this.
As a J.P., I employ a light touch when it comes to wedding ceremonies. You, my client couple, are most important to me and I will do my utmost to help you design your perfect script, and will guide you through each step as you make
your vows to each other. I will do my best to reassure you, calm your nerves, and conduct a smooth, relaxed ceremony.
I’m here for you
I’m always available to chat, even if it’s just to provide a listening ear as the big day approaches. And whether your venue is a large resort or your Mom’s backyard, you can be sure of a professional service.
What’s next?
Once you’ve booked, I’ll send you a few sample ceremony scripts to look at. When you have your Marriage Licence, we’ll meet to fill out the paperwork. Then, I’ll see you either at the rehearsal, or on the day!
Yes, you can!
Cape Breton Weddings is LGBT friendly. The ceremonies I conduct are legal civil weddings, and all I require from you is your Marriage Licence and accompanying paperwork. If this is all in order, and you can provide a couple of witnesses, I can marry you!
On a cruise?
As a Justice of the Peace appointed in the Province of Nova Scotia, I can marry anyone from anywhere, as long as they have a valid Marriage Licence from the NS government. You don’t have to be Canadian. I can marry you on a cruise ship in Sydney harbour, and your marriage will be valid throughout the world.
Portfolio
There’s nowhere quite like Cape Breton for weddings. Look through the many different, gorgeous locations, from a chic country club estate, to a clifftop overlooking the ocean, to a historic kirk, to Mom’s backyard. Every venue has unique qualities and adds its personality to your wedding.
